Anyone who knows me knows I hate Emo. Emo is a disease that affects men. I've seen signs that my personal war on Emo is coming to a close. Emo is dying rapidly. Good riddance.
The next natural trend is misogyny as men who were incapacitated with Emo find their balls and — seek revenge on those who they believe wronged them — women.
My first clue to the rise of misogyny was the Papa Roach song "I Almost Told You That I Loved You." If you like this song, get your head checked. It's a song about manipulation for revenge. I quote : I hate to say it but it has to be said; You look so fragile as I fuck with your head. If Papa Roach was confident, he wouldn't be out to prove anything. The fact that this song is popular reveals a sociological trend.
When I heard about The Fitness Shooter and the reasons behind his actions — I knew misogyny was on the rise. Through his blog and his videos, the media has claimed that he shot down an aerobics class because he had been shot down by women so many times. That's the rational of the misogynist : "Women are attractive. They attract and punish you for being attracted."
Sadly, men are praising this guy in private conversations among other men. This is pathetic. If you're one of these, consider yourself pathetic.
Before anyone claims I'm being a hypocrite I'll gladly admit I've had my misogynist moments. They were all short-lived.
For those currently suffering from this disease, I can't recommend The Way of The Superior Man enough. Reading through this book cures misogyny.
For those women who will suffer the wrath of this sociological trend: Hang in there. There are men out there who will break the cycle.
